Asa has to be my sweetest kid. We were leaving the area, and Randy saw a police officer he knew. We stopped to talk, briefly; because she was working, she didn't have any candy that she could hand out and stated, "I wish I had some candy."

Asa then handed her a fruit flavored tootsie roll. I think he thought she wanted candy. Isn't that sweet?

long time

I finished this about 2 weeks ago, but never posted it. This is hanging in my two little boys' room. Copied it from a Garnet Hill catalog. They like it and I think the colors "pop" off the brown wall. A belated birthday wish to a special little guy, Ketner. Hope you had a great day!

someone finally heard me

Let me preface that; someone who has a professional opinion about my situation finally heard what I was saying. My true supporters, all my friends, especially Shannon, Heather, Renata, and Julie already understood what I was saying. Unfortunately, they don't hold a position that enables them to help me, plus they're bias. However, I met with a very sharp, unintimidated woman this afternoon that saw through all the facade and choreographed drama that has led me to seek her services. I was heard. I was heard so well that she refused to meet with us again until after 'he' had sought "outside therapy". I'm still very satisfied with the session, because someone hears what I've been saying.

pretty

Randy came to visit me yesterday at work; he had bought the kids all a little treat. Well, I really liked the "pretty" that Ellori had picked out, so today when he came to visit, he had one for me.

It brings a smile to my face. Isn't it pretty?

numbers

Zero blogging all month, 16 hours worked today, 15 treats in bags, 10 min. visit at work with my kids, 6 minute phone call to Conner/Bailey, 4 new toys from Daddy, 2 emails rec'd from a new blogging bud .... now 6 hours sleep

Second grade; Miss German

What a world wind! Almost forgot to post a photo of Asher's first day in second grade. He had a "green apple" day.... yeah! He really is looking forward to seeing all his friends again. Here he is outside his classroom, smiling for his mama.

I really cannot believe they're 4 already; and if you really know me, you'll know why!

Four years ago this morning at 9:53, and 9:54, my little Ellori and Asa (although we always say Asa and Ellori) came into the world.

They were so tiny; I was attempting to post a picture of how itty bitty they were, but my computer was not cooperating.

Weighing in at 5.4 and 5.1 pounds each, they were so petite. They now weigh about 38 lbs. each and are so very different!

We had a nice quiet, sweet birthday party with just our friends and family. The kids really enjoyed the day.
